At bit about me! My name is Deborah Wood. I've been a hairstylist since 1999.  After completing beauty school I went on to an apprenticeship at Richard Herrera about Hair in downtown Portland, Oregon. I finished the apprenticeship went on to junior stylist, then senior stylist, and also taught classes in cutting, color, and dressing hair to apprentices.

I worked at Richard Herrera about Hair for ten years. Through out this experience I was exposed to many experiences with hair. I have done work with local publications, and local television stations. I have also had my work published in Goldwell's Color Glossy twice. I have been fortunate to take a lot of advanced training classes. Some of which include: Vidal Sassoon cutting in San Francisco; KMS cutting, styling & up-styling; Tigi cutting; Paul Mitchell cutting & up-styling; and numerous (to many to count!) color classes with Goldwell. Some of which include: color correction, specialty blonding, Elumen, specialty foil placement, advanced color formulating, and Ombre. I love learning new things and am always attending classes on the up and coming trends!

During the middle of my ten years of working in downtown Portland; I lived and worked in Billings, Montana. I stayed there for four years and leased a chair in a salon. Where I continued taking classes and honing my craft. I moved to Gilbert Arizona October of 2013. I decided I wanted to open my own little salon at Salon Boutiques and want to continue making people feel good about themselves!

Here's a couple of segments of AM Northwest in Portland that I was on. Be kind, they were live and unrehearsed! I am not a television personality!
